Professor Albrecht Herholdt

Architect and Director

Albrecht is a founding member, and director of architecture of The Matrix, winning numerous architectural awards. He holds a Master's Degree in Architecture from the Nelson Mandela University and a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of the Orange Free State (cum laude). He is registered with the SA Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and a member of the SA Institute of Architects (SAIA). He was the chairman of SAIA Eastern Cape for two periods of two years. He is a retired professor of architecture at the Nelson Mandela University. He is also a heritage practitioner registered with the Association of Professional Heritage Practitioners of South Africa and the editor of several books on architecture.
